With the interval function slow processes can be compressed in time. The Interval function allows intervals of 1s to 23:59:59. The number of images to be created can be set between 1 and 99999. It is also possible to operate the Interval function indefinitely.

It is recommended to disable the autofocus and the automatic white balance of the camera. Furthermore set the maximum aperture (e.g. 2.8 if you using a Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L) and mount the camera on a tripod to avoid flickering.

When the sensor function is selected, the camera is controlled by the built-in light sensor. The sensitivity, the time delay before and after the shutter can be adjusted within the function menu.

For very short events like slamming flash, the mirror lockup should be enabled to avoid additional delay.

The function allows to exposure the image sensor for an adjustable period of time. This method is used to capture enough light in the darkness and get some dynamic on the picture.

To use this functionality the camera has to be set to "Bulp" mode. The function also supports mirror lockup to minimize shutter vibrations.
